Northlands Golf Course in Details

To get to the 18-hole Northlands Golf Course, you will have to drive no longer than 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver. This Course was opened in 1997. Murdo Frazer Par 3 Golf Course used to be a part of the Northlands family, owned and operated by the city of North Vancouer, but it is now a privately owned facility.

Golfers across the spectrum agree that the Northlands Course is one of the best-kept public courses in Greater Vancouver area, with a distinct feel of a private facility. University Golf Course in Vancouver is said to have similar qualities.

If you are planning to take a large party of friends or colleagues out for golfing, Northlands can accommodate anywhere from two- to 48-member groups of golfers. Also notably, the Northlands Golf Course has a well-defined and friendly rain-check policy. In some cases, they are ready to compensate you for the entire fee and even refund part of the equipment rental charge.

Present at the premises is a bar & grill which is open 7 days a week and carries a wide selection of wines. This is also the place where you can organize a banquet or a meeting.

Recreational Options around Northlands Golf Course

If you are spending a longer time in the area, you may want to try hiking around Mt. Seymour, at the bottom of which lies the Northlands Course. For those of adventurous nature, kayaking at Deep Cove or mountain biking in the surrounding nature may be a good day to spend a day after a round of golf.

If you have kids around, be sure to visit the century-old Maplewood Farm, the last farm on the North Shore of Vancouver, and let them play with and feed the animals, ride a pony, or engage in other fun activities. If you want to learn some traditional crafts or flex your muscles on a climbing wall, the Parkgate Community Centre is a good place to visit as well.
